I need to 'set' my Scalpel for a heavier rider...me.

Porter, I've ridden it every day this past week, and I've had no leakage. Thanks for asking! Both the front and rear are VERY stiff, so I'm going to drop the air-pressure down to 180psi and see how that feels. I'm 225lbs, so 180psi is 80%. I might even drop it to 170psi(75%).

    Hello from central Arizona

The Jekyll's paint gives me a 2012 date also. And there is a circular black sticker with a white numeric "3" on the frame; sounds like a Jekyll 3 to me. I am very new to all this, and have no real idea what you mean by reintroduced. Did the '3' denote a level of componentry?

    Hello from central Arizona

Thanks BL1987. I currently have a complete frame, a handlebar, and two wheels. It needs everything else. I do have a possible lead on a Dyad rear shock. I'm confident that the front wheel-hub is for a HeadShok. The rear wheel will accept a cassette. Basically I'll need everything EXCEPT...

    Year made?

Nico, thanks. It appears to be a 2002. I put pedals and new grips on, inflated the suspensions, and am enjoying it!

Belay all that! I found article describing how to add air to the fork and shock. I picked up a little Fox 'suspension pump', ran them up to about 200 psi each, and things work MUCH BETTER now!

I need to 'set' my Scalpel for a heavier rider...me.

Replying to myself, but I still have some questions! I did some viewing and now understand that there is an air-adjustment for the HeadShok. I am in the process of finding a shock-pump this morning. I've read that I should use about 70% of my weight converted to psi for the pressure I set the...

I need to 'set' my Scalpel for a heavier rider...me.

Hello everyone! A few days ago I made a deal on a 2002 Cannondale Scalpel. It's been at home all morning getting cleaned and tuned. Anyways, I took it for it's first ride, and with one exception all is well. That exception is the suspension. I get the feeling that it was originally for a...

Wanted Parts for 2012 Jekyll needed

Hi everyone. I recently rescued a stripped 2012 Jekyll frame; forum post describing the Jekyll Does anyone have a front fork or rear shock for this poor thing? I'm also going to need bearings, headpost, gears, and brakes. I can't do much without those two big pieces though.

What is a Cannondale Jekyll 3?

The man I bought this from texted me today. He'd found what he believed are the wheels and handlebar for this Jekyll. He told me his brother has always been a 'flipper'. He thinks his brother bought this bike and stripped it to sell parts. He is helping his brother empty a storage unit, and...

    Year made?

Hello. My buddy gave me first call to purchase his Cannondale Scalpel, so I accepted. I've been looking through the annuals but cannot find this color scheme. Can someone tell me what year it is?

What is a Cannondale Jekyll 3?

I'm curious if anyone knows why the suspension components seem to be...unavailable. Were they proprietary to that model bicycle?
