I need to do this when I have time. I may just go with a powerpod power meter which will work with my ride. It measures the indirect forces (wind,elevation,speed from the speed sensor) and calculates power based on that. Supposed to be accurate and it’s cost effective.

It was not new, actually I got it used from a racer who was using it as their winter bike now that I think of it. clearly they could have changed things around or run out of SunTour as you suggest I recall that this was the last days for those group sets. in those days Campy was king!

Interesting so my thoughts were that my bike was an SR400 based on frame and color but the group set on the bike is largely 105 not Suntour. wondering now why?

Well I have had my SR400 since 1988. It has 105 not the suntour listed in the 87 catalog. I have updated pedals, saddle, bars, stem, and brake levers but the rest is history. Ride as often as I can get out. Check out the pics of my ride and the catalog LoL
