I hate it when that happens…

Wondering if you could re-tap to the next larger fractional size. Autozone used to sell small kits of a single size that weren't very expensive.

I'm Gonna Break Down and Do It!

Friend has Zwift and likes it. I don't know if he bought their bike or is using something else.

    1996 R600

Frame size is usually at bottom right as you read the numbers in this era Cannondale.

    Is this OCD?

I once took a fresh build up to WI to ride with a friend. I'd left the stem slightly loose intending to do that but forgot about it. We were ten miles from his house when the stem came loose and of course I didn't have the tool to tighten it. Got a nice walk out of the deal until we found a...

    Fake Cannondale?

There's an R800 on eBay that's listed as an XS800. At least it's a Cannondale.

    Is this OCD?

I often get the stem alignment slightly off with the bike in the stand.

    Hello from Michigan!

I forgot about Assenmacher. Wasn't sure he was still in business.

    1996 R600

RX100 gave up very little in performance compared to 105.

    Cannondale SUPER V

I don't think those RDs were in production for very long. They might have been made after SRAM bought the company. The Sachs brand was quickly phased out.

    Hello from Michigan!

So the original fork is JIS? I'd contact Doug Fattic in Niles, MI and see if he can cut it down to ISO.

    Rehabilitated Super fork For Sale

Thanks, I wasn't aware of the Paul brake. Looks like it has a lot of vertical adjustment. The Shimano brakes I looked at were a long way from having enough adjustment to reach a 700C rim. I'm still on the fence about the fork.

    Rehabilitated Super fork For Sale

Thanks. I'm wondering if there's a chance that a V brake will have enough adjustment to work on a 700C rim. I can check that on one of my bikes.

    Cannondale XS800

Looks great and it's the first year for them I think. I'd certainly ride it some but not so much as to put much wear on it. I rode my 2001 XS Friday.

    Hi from Oregon

I've owned 5 older Cannondale CX frames and a 2011 CAADX. I much prefer the geometry of the CAADX to the older frames. Versatile frame that can be used for fast road rides to light touring.

    Max tire size for ST-500

Best way to get wider tires will be to switch to 700C wheels. Let me know if that's an option and I'll see what will clear on your frame. I have a couple of mid 80s touring frames here. I'm running 32-35 mm tubulars on two of them, haven't tried anything wider. Note that switching to 700C is...

    1988 SM700??

There's always a chance that a dealer could have switched components around between bikes in stock to get a customer what he wanted.

    Rehabilitated Super fork For Sale

Did you measure from the edge of the cup, essentially from the bottom of the head tube if in a frame? I'm running 38 mm Schwalbe Big Bens on another XS800 with about 10 mm clearance to the fork, which seems adequate.
