The photos I posted don't show it well but this fork is blue and looks like an exact match for the 2001 model. This isn't mine, but it captures the color accurately.
If you look at the 2001 catalog, page 35, the R3000si matches this fork pretty closely. This one is a single color instead of the fade in the catalog, but googling "2001 Cannondale R3000si" yields results with a single color blue fork.
As for the IS-3I, I couldn't say. I did a little googling...
The fork is from a CAAD 5 R3000si, so 2002ish. I bought it without knowing it required a proprietary crown race. I don't have the frame. To my knowledge, the rest of the headset is standard, integrated 45/45 Campy style with only the crown race being different.
I should have included photos of the fork. The odd thing about this is the bevel where the steerer meets the fork crown. It makes most crown races useless.
I have an R3000si fork, but no crown race. These had a proprietary Cannondale race that is nearly impossible to get any information on. I don't even know what it looks like. The most info I've gotten so far is an image of a page that accompanied a crown race kit from a FB group.
If anyone has...
I've only seen the ST1000 regularly have the aero internally lugged fork crowns. I believe the 91 catalog shows it as transitioning to a lugged crown. The first year of production bikes (ST500) also had the internal crown, which carried into 84.
I've had it since Nov 2021 and rode it across Iowa during RAGBRAI 2022. I'm running Cyclone MK II front and rear derailleurs, controlled by Suntour barcons. I have a NOS set of micro-ratcheting downtube shifters that will be installed the next time I'm in PA.
Honestly, I'd like to get rid of...
I bought this bike a few years ago, and these photos accompanied the listing. The later photos are of the bike as I currently have it built up. It has a mix of XC Pro and Cyclone, with Superbe levers, and Sansin hubs that closely match the champagne gold of the XC Pro cantilevers. Velo Orange...
Here are the listing photos of the ST1000, along with the serial number, and finally as I have it built up. I believe very little was changed from stock before I acquired the bike. Now, very little is original and the original parts have been scattered to the winds via sales. It's also...
I'm curious if anyone knows when the rear spacing went from 126mm to 130mm to 135mm? I have a 90 ST1000 at 126mm, and a 98/99 T700 at 135mm. I'm guessing something may have changed around 94 as that looks like the first year they had replaceable derailleur hangers.
