Have a question about my 2006 Prophet.

Sorry I do not have a picture, but I just bought a Cannondale Prophet Lefty with the serial number starting with R. That should mean it is a 2006, correct? The bike is interesting because it is a bare metal frame with raised matching metal letters then all is clear coated. Owner talked about it being "galvanized" and that is one of the colors mentioned in the catalog. Bike has a Lefty Max Carbon with SVP. So I look at the 2006 catalog and it looks like I have a Prophet 4000 model. BUT my entire bike is Shimano XT or XTR and the catalog says there should be Sram stuff and Hayes brakes. Looking at the 2007 catalog shows a Prophet 1 with similar Sram stuff.

While I can understand switching some parts over the years, my entire bike is XT (drivetrain inc crank, brakes) and the bike looks very lightly used. Anyone have an idea of what my bike is?

Sounds like a Prophet 2000 which came in a "Raw with black tinted clear" color. All XT and XTR components.

How about some multiple pictures?

Glad to hear that. It looks like a great Bike! You are right to say that it was lightly used. It's also the first one on this site; so please consider putting it on our gallery page.

Looks like the question is solved, great looking and well kept Prophet. I still need to figure out what to do with my Prophet frame. I'd likely repaint it, if I could find new decals for it.
