Wondering if you could re-tap to the next larger fractional size. Autozone used to sell small kits of a single size that weren't very expensive.

I haven't found any on bikes yet. It's probably the aircraft mechanic who spend his adult life working on figther jets, but I will NEVER understand why some people think every bolt known to mankind is a strength contest test! It seems even more true when it comes to automotive "mechanics", especially of the shady plant type.

It seems even more true when it comes to automotive "mechanics", especially of the shady plant type.

It's like fasteners (screws) for an access panel on a wing. The panel is for aerodynamics. Not for holding the wing to the fuselage. Those little screws don't need to be torqued to 5 white knuckles!

I can't count the number of times I have had that happen to me over the years.
