Unknown Cannondale CAAD 8

I think I have concluded it’s a CAAD 8 and might be a 2001. If anyone could help me confirm that and give me some more info I would be grateful.

unfortunately someone I knew passed away and from the stuff that was left I grabbed this bike. I’m more interested in mountain bikes but would like to learn about this.

Any help is appreciated.

Sorry about your friend. That looks like a 2015 CAAD8 to me. The component group was part of the model name that year, there were 105 5, Tiagra 6, Sora 7, and Claris 8 models.
