Looking for one as I stupidly sold the specimen I had for 20+ years... Preferably in Europe. A whole bike or a frame. Thanks. Timo

Thanks, I know as I've been looking for one for quite some time. Don't know what kind of mental lapse I had when I decided to get rid of it. Thought that I was done with it and replaced it with CAADX. How idiot can one be.

I haven’t had the opportunity to ride one of these cyclocross frames. So I’ve wondered how sizing compares to a road bike frame. Is it a direct comparison?

I have read the sizing charts and I’m unable to determine if it is. I’m comfortable on a 60 cm road bike but looking at the numbers a 58 cm cyclocross frame might be fine vs a 58 cm road bike frame which feels too small.

Sorry for the hijack.

No worries. 58 in cx is longer or at least the 2000 model that I used to have. It had a 59 cm top tube, meaning that I had to use a shorter stem compared to a road 58. Don't have a clue on the other sizes, though.

Thanks, I looked at the closely, but suspect it is a 56 as the top tube is 22 inches, corresponding 56 or so cms. A bit short. EDIT. Or... it seems that the tape measurement is not c-c... will investigate.
I initially thought the same thing. It appears to be in decent shape if it is the correct size. A little pricey though.

Another thing I wanted to mention, if you really did want it or any other bike in the States and a seller doesn't want to ship outside of the country. There's a company in the U.S called Stackry that ships worldwide. They give you an American address and you can have bike shipped to it, and then they'll ship it to wherever you are. Obviously it'd get a little pricey having to pay for shipping twice... but if you really want something.

My experience is that if you like a 60 cm road frame, the 58 CX frame leaves you way too leaned over (extreme saddle to bar drop). The later aluminum Taiwan made frames are much better in that regard.

I have a 2000 model XR800, silver, in near NOS condition. As far as I remember, there are some minor scuffs on one or both of the 105 STI levers but that's the only thing that comes to mind as far as damage. Located in central USA.
