NOS xtr bottom bracket came in today!!

Story of my life but my dad came over today and he’s really liking this frame so….. the build is switching frames. Might all move to a black beast a few years newer…. Need a fork though. I was thinking girvin carbon. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Can’t figure that part out. Yea, they were the shifters that went with disc levers which obviously I’m not using.

Levers and hyperlite bar came in. Big issue I’m running into is a way to connect the Xtr 980 shifters without the handles…

Beautiful bike! I went back and forth on the build. Since I’m bringing the omega back to stock form, figured I’d go a different approach. Few more blue goodies coming for it

Pulled the mavic wheels off another bike i had a change of plans with. Black coda hubs which went well. Also picked up onza cantilevers and a ringle stem. I had a 3x10 xtr drivetrain laying around so I decided that’s the way to go

From there I dug out some parts laying around or scattered on other bikes. Kooka crank, old school nashbar seatpost.

Picked up this frame and a few components from a good dude that does cruisers for charity. Got it for a decent price. With a number of project going back to specs, I wanted to do something different with this one.

I believe they may have actually had a cool bros on it in purple but that’ll take a bit to find. I have both an XTR and ritchey on other bikes and you are dead on that the XTR is the better of the 2. Probably my choice until the cook bros pops up somewhere…..

I may be contacting you when I get to the wheels about the 900 hubs and the chinook rim. I have a pair of chinooks in another bike but they are laced to XT and I’m trying to keep this build perfect. I need to get my hands on XTR cables and housing from that era next to get the brakes and...

The flash is XL. It’s only the frame for on the serotta. Just took it in on a trade and I’m just more of a MTB guy. I’ll check out that forum and see what I can do.

NOS xtr cassette installed today and one of my turbos from the collection for fun more than anything lol

Appreciate it my man. The rims aren’t correct but they were something totally different with the snowflake spokes while I find the right ones! Some more updates coming soon
