    Jekyll help

Nice save on the Jekyll. Just for reference to anyone else. This is my 2004 Jekyll 400, bought new in December 2003. Only thing different is the disc brake conversion a couple of years back. Notice the road sign, similar to the Jekyll advert they had in Mountain bike Action at the time.

    POLL: to vintage or not.

Hi BL, they are not Campag shifters, they are 8 speed Sachs "New Success" Ergo power shifters modelled on Campag but do not have the odd Campag cog spacin throws, beauty of these is they are totally re-buildable. I use the Goretex "RideOn" cables. The rear derailleur is a Thermoplastic Sachs...

    What do I have?

Thats a better picture. Yep M900 96 catalogue page 19 rigid front forks. Though the front C dale sticker is a later one. Its funny, the more I look at the pictures and compare to the catalogues, the more I think its a 1996 M900 but with 1997 stickers applied to it. 96 had the second gen...

I don't consider the newer stuff Cannondale. To me its just another so so bike brand, thanks to their stupid decision to build motorbikes and send themselves broke. Time will tell as to how long this newer stuff will last.

    1988 Team MTB?

Yeah, later the Sachs stuff I reused onto my new (at the time) 95 Super V mtb "New Success" with quartz road shifters which had the plastic gear shift paddles within. The importer here sold me a heap of New Success polished alloy shift inner paddle kits so I could rebuild them if damaged. That's...

    Gen 1 Super V Raven

I bought this frameset from Indianapolis a few years back and imported it to Australia. Hence I call him Indy. The carbon was in great shape with a couple of paint chips off the rear swingarm. Originally rebuilt with the standard Fox rear shock, I modified a 97 active Super V alps Float 4 to fit...

    1988 Team MTB?

I had a 87-88 Beast of the East back in the early 90s that looks identical to that frameset mine had rollercam brakes originally. Was a hideous Mauve colour, I stripped and polished it Steel front forks, later set it up with drop bars, Girvin flexstem and a 6061T6 fork. Sloping TT were not that...
