to me it's not original coating. you see at the fotos everywhere tiny little marks/scratches where a yellow like the logos is shining through. industry would never paint the whole frame like this, right? :) and the edges of the logo are pretty nasty. usually the industry would paint it in that...

you're absolutely right. the internet opened the world^^ without internet i wouldn't ride the cannondales probably... coz even today to get a cannondale here in my suburban region, a small town 50km to dortmund, without internet is nearly by zero :D but this point is a good one to explain why...

just in case it's vintage one day^^ a CAADX cyclocrosser from 2021. the guy bought it for nearly 1200€ and some 'upgrades/downgrades' for further 750€... overall almost 2000€. in my opinion with theses components from lower segments a little bit overpriced. the components then not even from one...

in that offer on 'kleinanzeigen' is also written 'KCP RUN'... and when you search for that you get some roadbikes by 'KCP-Bikes' from berlin, germany... xD

when we have a look to the automobile & motorbike industry, then cars and motorbikes with 30 years and older are here in germany called 'oldtimer'. from 20 to 30 years those vehicles are 'youngtimer'. on bikes in my opinion it can be handled the same way... not? if a bike is more or less 15-20...

oh you're absolutely right... when reading the text i ignored the year... xD it's not made in the us. then maybe the japanese fits better^^ thanks for linking the website. good infos about the single components.

thanks for posting the project :) i really like to follow those processes, when people rebuild their own bike from scratch. when i was rebuilding the R500 Caad5 i was thinking about too to use SRAM-components, coz i think it fits better on a US produced bike, than the japanese or italian brands :)
