It would be a good idea to have a section for documents like this. If everybody else agree's, I can create one.
for this book, where is the start and end? (I am assuming red-red) are there missing pages? I would love to see each page. So cool..
I thin what makes the Good Boy rare is the XTR. It is only on that bike. I sold a Good boy front triangle last year. It was trashed, and I feel worth nothing.
99% sure this is not a Cannondale. The SN is not how Cannondale stamps the SN. I would also check the welds. But, this could also be a Klein or something else cool... the welds look smooth. :)
Best is to strip everything down, and plan your build. The best feeling is when you get it on wheels. Finding a fork will be tough. Even a straight 1 1/8th is getting harder to find. Depending on how you build it. If you go modern, there are tapered headsets out there.
Marzocchi uses a circle stamp in the aluminum for the build date. The date will be in the center "93"
that will show it is a Marzocchi shock. pretty sure its a Marzocchi shock.. I will have to look it up, my memory is getting bad for the certain years. :)
That is a specific made shock made for the early V's 93-96. It uses a special mount, like the 1st gen Raven. :(
From what it looks like is a Marzocchi. It has the build date in the circle. Usually all air shocks are the same. Air chamber and a O-Ring seal.
I agree, reach out to Mendon Cycle...
I learned the hard way. I did not write down any SN prior. I had 5 Cannondale stolen, a friends bikes and my sons bike. The funny part was they kept stepping over a set or Porsche rims worth more than the bikes. In the end I did get one of my bike back. My 1987 26x24 sm800. It was gone for 6...
Hello,
Sorry for the loss. But it is good to keep a record. I feel your pain. In 2013 I lost a good amount of Cannondale I had due to a theft. After that I have a google doc that records all of my serial numbers.
I have a question for all.
Would it be a good idea to add a Sub thread of bike builds that are non Cannondale?
for example, I also collect Mountain Cycle. And I am sure we all have other brands. :)
Thoughts?
