Welcome! It looks great. This is 1987. I have 2 of these. :) Racks are doable, there are mounts on the back. As for fenders, might be tricky with the roller cam brakes. If you have the rack it will work as a fender. I commuted to work on a bike for 5 years. Glad to see this '87 is getting love. :)

The old A113 guides are pushing 30+ years. The plastic gets brittle and breaks. They are all one unit and you will not be able to re-attach the original pin. These guides are a replacement for the A113. (5mm) They are CNC aluminum, and come with plastic pins. Although any pop rivet will work 30...

Hello, You have a very rare Chase. Yes, (sold only as a frame.) Not a lot of these were sold because the Chase was dying. The Chase alone are getting hard to find. I think this frame was the last year for Chase 07, maybe 08 was the last of 1 model. I am a 2007 Chase owner. Set it up like yours...

I agree if the grey is not metallic, more of a "gloss battle ship grey" It would be a SM600. 88 decals have "®". 87 do not. However, some 87's have it.. haha ....and looking again, maybe the decals are just a faded pink decal...

Looks like it is a 1987 built in November of '86. As for the paint, not sure if it is original. And it also has 88 decals. I would look at the 97 catalogs and compare parts. A 26x24 is my favorite.

Hello, That is a good find. I would swap out for another crank. Save the old one and if possible find the other arm. Which is almost impossible. Looks to be in good shape. Ditch the fenders, new bar tape, maybe new cable/housing and your ready to go..

Bump. Anybody have a 98/99 super fatty with disc tabs, or a 98/99 super v rear swing with tabs? can purchase or trade. I have a few 97 fattys and about 10 of 1 1/4 pep forks.. as well as tons of other parts... :)

I had a 2007 Prophet 26". It was stolen... a few years later, I picked up a 2005 Prophet without rims... It is full 27.5.. running it that way since 2013. It is a far better bike that 26". I can not even imagine ridding it as a 26". http://community.vintagecannondale.com/showcase/prophet-1000.13/

I have a friend that stores bikes in bike shop boxes. Takes off the front rim, and puts it in the box. He has maybe 20 in the garage perfectly stacked.
