Headshok Ultra DL80 Parts - Split Ring

Looking at his site I saw it was 85 bucks for a service and he covers return shipping (I think). Not bad, but shipping might be costly.

    Gravel bikes

After some more reading of catalogs I discovered the cyclocross series (XR800, XS800). No mods needed more or less. Just choose a tire that fits. And it appears they can accommodate plenty. Problem that I discovered is that they are UNICORNS! Did I show up to the gravel bike party late and...

    Back to Biking!!

There is a 2005 Warrior 800, patriot blue, LG frame near where a friend lives (7 hour drive from me) that looks good in the CL ad pics for 250. I wondered about “how big of a tire” would fit. I may phone a friend this weekend…

    Pepperoni vs. Standard

I haven’t measured it, but I assumed since it was a 93 it would be 1.25”. And as @JohnnyD mentioned in another post that makes it difficult vs. 1.125” for parts. At this point it’s a thought exercise. Unlikely that I would change anything, since the bike is so complete and functioning as is.

Headshok Ultra DL80 Parts - Split Ring

Well service kits are still available. Stock up? I'm thinking I should. I've got a lefty that I can't get a service kit for. I can find a shop that still has them like Mendon, if no LBS has them. Or change it out. And at this point that isn't an option. One of the biggest reasons for getting my...

Headshok Ultra DL80 Parts - Split Ring

I put some thought into that as well as I gathered the parts and tooling to do a service on my Headshok. The "what if" I screw this up, what next? I didn't go too deep on research. But from what I gather I'll need headstock adapters. Due to Cannondale's proprietary dimensions in order to run an...

    Pepperoni vs. Standard

What benefit(s) other than stiffness does a Pepperoni fork offer over a standard fork? The 93 M500 I just bought has a standard fork and while perusing ebay I came across a purple Pepperoni. Just random thoughts. No particular reason to modify my new to me M500. Thanks

    1993? M500 color identification?

Thanks @JohnnyD for pointing out the list. Unfortunately the above mentioned purple isn’t on the list. Touching up scratches was one idea. The other is that there is a pepperoni fork on ebay. It is purple, but in need of repaint/touch up. Other than a stouter look, not sure Of the benefit...

    1993? M500 color identification?

I’m new here and found myself reading older posts. Having said that, I just bought a 93 M500 in this color. Did @zarky ever find a paint code? Or other solution? I’ve got some nicks and scratches that would be nice to touch up. If not I’ll live with it.

    Back to Biking!!

Wait...I just discovered another model I like; Warrior 700 R. Saw an ad on KSL. Too bad it's a medium. Off to research the catalogs to find what years they were made. Heck with a modern gravel bike. The Warrior 700 R looks to fit the bill. That is if tires other than road tires will fit.....

    Back to Biking!!

Yes I have been perusing the vintage catalog section to discover what other models Cannondale sold in the past. I’m currently on the hunt for a Beast of the East. Just yesterday whilst perusing 1995, I saw the T1000 and T700. Don’t know why, but I like. I’m gonna have to get creative real quick...

    Gravel bikes

Now that you mention it, I believe I've seen F series listed for sale as a road bike. I thought it was odd. But I didn't click on the ad to see that it was a converted frame. Yes I recall the handlebars being different.

Anyone ever convert a frame into a gravel bike? Curious what frame(s) are good donors. Thanks
