FSA Metropolis 2 speed crank on this red Cannondale

It's a 2007 F5. That crank is not original to the bike, original was a TruVativ Isoflow 22/32/42. Rims and fork are original.

FSA Metropolis 2 speed crank on this red Cannondale

First letter of the bar code sticker should give the year of build. R would be 2006. I'll have a look and see if I can find it. No luck so far. What wheel size? Is it set up for a front derailleur? I did find the Black Eye rims listed on a 2007 Caffeine so I'm going to assume it has 26"...

    1985 sr300

Nice thing about black is that it's relatively easy to match, so touch ups look better than most colors.

    1985 sr300

My guess is with a serial number that low it would have been built in the first few days of 1985 model year production, so likely in the fall of 1984. That bike was a bargain at a list price of $395 with Cyclone. What color is it?

Best to proceed with caution. I would try to borrow a wheel with a tire mounted for a test fit before buying parts that may not fit.

    C'dale 2.8 R700 - 2 versions in 1992 ???

Certainly a 1992 R700 whether Euro spec or dealer modified. Dealer could easily have swapped out the handlebar for the time trial bars as well as the seat post. The R700 had the same frame geometry as the rest of the 2.8 road models, so wasn't time trial specific except for the seat post and...

    1983 Cannondale ST500 - Tires and ??

Generally speaking, I think it would be cheaper to go with Shimano for a bar end indexed shifter build. It's probably best to stick with 7 speed unless your rear dropout width is at least 128 mm. To go to 8/9/10 you would need a 130 mm rear hub and it's not recommended to spread 126 mm spaced...

I haven't tried it but I'm guessing it will work with narrow tires. This discussion might prove helpful: https://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=245242&highlight=MTB+650B What is the goal? The larger diameter wheels will roll over the rough stuff easier but you will have to live with...

    1983 Cannondale ST500 - Tires and ??

There are a couple of pretty good pictures of the back side of a DuraAce rear adjuster here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/RIGHT-Shimano-Dura-Ace-STI-Downtube-Shifter-Cable-Stop-Tension-Adjuster-CURVED/324340256819?hash=item4b842f9033:g:vp0AAOSwcqxfhDEW I believe that they are flat enough on the...

    1983 Cannondale ST500 - Tires and ??

That's a good question. I have 7 speed Shimano bar end shifters on my 1985 ST400 but I don't remember what I used for down tube cable adjusters. I'm sure that they aren't anything Cannondale specific. I am guessing that they are standard Shimano. I believe the Shimano ones are made with the...

    Kit List update

Are all those parts available? Some links are not working. When I select Coda 901-900 hub and click Go I am directed to the vintagecannondale home page.

    Remake of my SR 600

Depends on how you define modern. Deda, Nitto, Cinelli, and Soma still make 26.0 clamp quill stems, and several additional manufacturers make threadless with 26.0 clamp. I don't think Cinelli still makes 26.4 clamp size but there are plenty of used ones around. The bar I linked is 26.4 but it...

    1986 bare aluminum frame 58cm

As a bare frame or a complete bike? Would need some component information to come up with a figure on the bike.

    Remake of my SR 600

Bike looks great. I have the Drop In bars on a couple of my bikes, including my 1992 R1000. I bought one along with a Drop Liteflite when Nashbar closed them out. Should have bought them all as they were under $20...

It would require some custom machining, but you could have a quill adapter made to lengthen the steerer. Essentially it would be the same thing as the adapters that allow you to put a threadless stem on a threaded fork, but the OD of the top section would be 1 1/4", the same as the steerer...

    1990 SR900 with Campagnolo Athena

I hope you win it. I'd like to have one but want at least a 58 cm, 60 preferred.

Brian, check out the 1994 catalog. Killer Vs definitely had 1 1/4" threadless forks. I'm thinking 1994 was the first year for threadless and the last year for 1 1/4".

    1990 SR900 with Campagnolo Athena

This bike looks like new. I'd love to have one but this one is 2 sizes too small for me. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-56cm-1990-Cannondale-SR900-Road-Racing-Bike-Campagnolo-Athena-VGC/174476963791?hash=item289fa32fcf:g:VyMAAOSws0tfhL77
