Sorry for your injuries. You will heal in time. Like @black lightning 1987 said, check tension. And maybe when you’re ready to ride outside again, switch to flat pedals for a bit.
I like the blue colored one. Except for the stem. I have never seen a picture of one that tall. I had no idea such a thing existed.
I bet a sloping top tube model would be a rare find.
Nice project!
I do not currently own a 2.8 framed bike. But on the frames I do, I have 25mm tyres installed and I would think a 28mm would be possible. Hopefully someone with a 2.8 will be along to advise.
BL I received a brake caliper mod today. I bought a set of Shimano 105 (5501) calipers in black and added Kool Stop pads. A remarkable improvement.
They weren’t a direct swap.
Rear Caliper: The stud nut was a bit longer on the 105. A thicker standard for the brake bridge I assume. So I used...
Definitely looks factory. Special Promo or Team?
Others here are much more qualified to answer what it is. I think it's unique. Very unique.
I dig it!
After a trip down google lane I have seen the 89 with the Athena. Same paint scheme. Also in the catalog. So a factory offering that wasn't in...
I haven't a clue without diving into the catalogs. And I don't recall seeing anything like it in the catalogs. But I do know this from just looking at the pictures that your bike is awesome! Congrats! What a find!
The serial number will tell you what year it is.

I fully disassembled and serviced the bike over a period of a few months. I installed new Suntour cables/housings. And Dia Compe cables/housings. I found a new in the box saddle on ebay. I paid dearly. The chain is KMC 8 speed.
I agree @letsbike on the bag. I’ve seen quite a few yellow bags on ebay. Not sure if there’s a toot bag, but definitely several mint yellow small bags.
Here’s one on ebay. There are a few of them on there but unfortunately they are all too small. I would buy one in my size.
One seller says in their ad that they were for the 2001 Giro d’Italia.
I do have a short sleeve “jersey” with cape that I’ve worn for the last 5 Halloween’s.
I should. I really should. Just for the shock value. And for added craziness when I pass people in my neighborhood I could shout “Have you seen Robin!?!” ;)
I got this bike last year and have done some upgrades. Such as 105 derailleurs and calipers. Kool Stop pads, Michelin Power Cup tires and started using the Ultegra pedals that came with the bike recently.
