You might try to capture the loose nut by getting it close to the opening and shooting a bit of expandable foam in to trap it. At least it won't rattle then.

Wow. Pretty sure that's the first year for 8 speed DA, and that blue was a great color. Catalog doesn't list model number of the hubset, guessing that they were 7402. Unfortunately 7402 is limited to Uniglide cassettes but I'd still think the wheels alone would be worth $150 if in nice shape...

I was guessing not as there wasn't a disc brake 1998 model and the forks didn't have mounts. They could have added discs after the catalog was printed.

I have at least one pair of NOS roller cam brakes in the parts box but have never used them. I'm looking at a 1985 Cannondale that might be a good place for them.

I've never used paper that fine on one. 800-1000 grit and some Mother's or Simichrome and they look great.

I'm guessing that they were made in other years but they may not show in the catalogs.

Are you sanding the anodizing off the crank or just cleaning it up? I've done the sand/polish routine on a Coda crank, was kind of a chore.
