On the road frames, the nominal size was from crank center to about 1" below the top of the seat tube. I checked a 60 cm 2005 CAAD7. The seat tube measures 62.5 cm to top of seat tube. I think MTBs are similar, but would have to check one to be sure.

We can't tell much from the serial number beyond year and size. Picture of the whole bike and list of components will be the best way to start.

Did you take the serial number picture of the 52 cm frame? Since it doesn't show the whole width of the BB shell, I'm not convinced that there is no separate two letter code. The two letter codes on my frames are well to the left of the frame code. Does the 52 cm bike conform to a 1999 model...

Wondering if it could be a 2001 R600 with an added Saeco decal. We've seen bikes before that have paint that doesn't match the catalog models. Cannondale did spec Daytona on the 2001 Chain Gang, but it was a CAAD5 frame. Perhaps they had some extra groups and put them on some CAAD4 Saeco frames.

Not sure what would be in the owner's manual. They usually just have safety and warranty information. What do you want to know about the bike? F800SL should be a CAAD5 disc frame with a Headshok Fatty Ultra DL fork. Should make a great gravel bike. Are you thinking of 650B wheels or 26"?

Good to know. I didn't think about the possibility of the team using colors that were not available on production bikes. Would be interesting to know the reasons for switching from red to blue.

Pretty sure 1999 was the first model year for Team Blue, but some of those frames were built in 1998. Believe all the early Volvo bikes were Viper Red, as were the Saeco road frames.

Did both links result in the same pdf for you? Wondering if there is another list of colors. Viper Red, Team Yellow, and Team Blue were all common colors in the late 90s/early 2000s. Seems odd that red and yellow are on the list but Team Blue is not.
