Broken downtube shift lever boss for a '95 R300

Mine has an issue. The die-cast boss came apart when someone removed it. Click on the thumbnail for disassembled view. There is still enough thread inside to hold, but I would probably remove the broken bit from the threaded stud and epoxy the stud into the die-cast boss. The threads on the...

Broken downtube shift lever boss for a '95 R300

I have a used one. It's something I can probably duplicate.

Free: 1 1/4 stem and headset 8.00 ship in USA

    What years/models were 1 1/4"? Pretty sure my 1993 M800 is, but my 1991 Beast is 1".

    What model is this bike?

The shape of the boot is what made me think that it's not a Headshok. I can't imagine stretching a round boot that much and not having it look all crumpled up. That boot looks like it was made wider side to side than it is front to back.

    What model is this bike?

I don't know what it is but am pretty sure it's not a Cannondale. I sent a message to a frame builder who might know. Will let you know if he has an idea who built it.

Welcome. That's a really nice looking Jekyll.

2000 Jekyll: Fox Float RC Lock Ring

I don't have a Jekyll but I'd think you could measure the swing arm and find an off the shelf bolt and nut. I'd use a thin head cap screw and a locking (nylon insert) flange nut with thin stainless steel washers under each.

    What model is this bike?

I've never seen a Cannondale with unfinished welds. Not sure about the fork, wondering about the Fox decal on the head tube. Surely worth what they're asking though if working condition is good.

    Mango Mullett paint

There seem to be quite a few tandems out there but I've never checked the serial numbers of any I've seen. Friend has an older one. I'll have to see if I can read it. At any rate, I'd surely think that 1989 would be the rarest year.

    Mango Mullett paint

23"/21" frame, the 15th built in May, 1989. I would have thought that there would be a 5 or a 0 ahead of that number to indicate dropout spacing.

Can anyone help Id this frame ?

I was guessing based on what Brian had said. I would measure the ID and see if it's 34 mm. If so you should be able to install standard external cups directly in them. The SV500 I mentioned looks like it has an adapter cup on the bottom that spaces the bottom of the head tube up from the fork...

Have you checked your serial number? It would be pretty cool to have a first year tandem.

Can anyone help Id this frame ?

Would a Headshok frame have had a different head tube than a Moto frame? There was a SV500 in 1997 that came with a Rockshox Quadra 5 fork. I'd think those adapter cups could be original.

Can anyone help Id this frame ?

I'd say it's a Super V from around 1998. There should be a 2 letter code indicating year and month of build. Can be under cable guide if there is one. See this page and look at the 1993-2001 sections. https://vintagecannondale.com/info/serial_numbers/ Close up pic of headset parts may help...

    Mango Mullett paint

Pretty sure it's been repainted. I only recall two/three color fades on tandems in a few years, mostly 2000 and later. For example, there was orange/red/black on the MT4000 in 2000 and blue/blue/white (Ice fade) on the 2002 RT3000. Someone liked to bomb the downhills with that ring.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry but I can't help with the software issue.

I had my bike stolen and was given this.......

I don't think your frame is made for a Headshok fork. Easiest way to check is to measure the OD of the head tube. Headshok head tubes measure in the 2.125" (54 mm) range, while bikes with standard 1 1/8" steerer head tubes measure about 1.75" (44.5 mm).
