My 2nd M500. Built in 1999 too, but Iris Blue. My former girlfriend had the same with some different parts. Someday I changed the tires into Conti Vertical Pro 2.35. The best all mountain tires I ever had... In 2003 it became a hardtail with a 80 mm travel Magura Vidar. One year later a friend of mine and I planned a 1-week trip, so I converted it to a durable multi-surface tourer with the following specs: CAAD 1 with Magura Vidar, Shimano Nexave 24-speed drivetrain, new Mavic/Shimano wheels...

After my 1st mountainbike (Giant Terrago) was stolen, I looked out for a new one. Found this M500 in southern Bavaria and bought it in April 2001. Was love at first view, mainly the colour, the flowing lines of the tubes and the reduced design with silver decals. The beginning of my Cannondale fanship. Some months later it was stolen too. Still miss it... CAAD2, Battleship Grey, 24-speed Shimano, CODA 500 wheels, 26`*2,10 tires, CODA saddle. Changed the stem into a 30°. Not sure about the...

I purchased this bike new in October, 1990. It was originally a Chameleon. The frame was warrantied in 1998. The replacement frame is a 1997 CAD 2. British Columbia is unkind to mountain bikes. The only remaining original components are the handlebars, front Suntour XCD derailleur & shifter and the Pepperoni forks. Original components included Richey Vantage rims, Suntour XCD drivetrain. The original XCD crankset was just retired as I can't find 5 bolt chainrings anymore. This bike is now...

Silk Path 400 that I bought new in 2001. Over the years, I upgraded the brakes, shifters and drivetrain, seat and rims. Nice bike, smooth ride and great paint finish. Cannondale's (Handmade in USA) powder coated paint jobs were the best.
The Fifty-Fifty is a Optimo mountain frame with a Nexis Premium 8-speed rear hub, fenders and attitude. The tires, cranks, chainring and eccentric BB (Carver) were upgraded. A rare Cannondale bike. I bought the bike new in 2005.
Schwalbe Fat Frank (beige) 26\" x 2.35\" Brooks saddle B17 (aged) Cannondale riser handle bar Ergon GP-1 Biokork grips (soon to be added: Magura hydraulic V-brakes (painted black)) From the glorious mountain riding days to a more sophisticated city limits cruising and mild trekking vehicle. (I was fortunate that the front tyre marginally fit the strictly dimensioned fork)

Just picked it up.. Spotless condition, seems to be a mix between an 800 and a 2000. It has the 800 color scheme but a mixture of components not mentioned in the brochure of that year..But are not a natural upgrade path, for example FSA Gossamer crank, Mavic cxp33 rims with cannondale wind hubs.. Ultegra front and rear derailleurs and omega brakes... sme aero seatpost and specialized stem
