Frame has bracket on seat stays for rack and brake cable like H400 but has the brake cable attached to a hook attached to the seat tube clamp bolt. Not sure if literature is incorrect for the H300 or if this frame is an anomaly.
Purchased this frame set from the UK recently, Original painnt work. Decided to build this up as a hybrid runabout and equipped with Shimano 105 group set.
Silk Path 400 that I bought new in 2001. Over the years, I upgraded the brakes, shifters and drivetrain, seat and rims. Nice bike, smooth ride and great paint finish. Cannondale's (Handmade in USA) powder coated paint jobs were the best.

I bought just the frame, then add a Look Fournales parallelogram fork, an 8s Campy Athena ergopowers and two nice Campagnolo K2 mtb rims.
The bike is not the lighter I could by surely the most amusing to me.
2009 bad boy frame. fork exchange lefty rigid (2008) with rigid p-bone in order to make it possible to load on luggage. exchange shimano alfine hub for a rohlff speedhub: for much more careless miles en greater gear range. syntace vro headset and handle bar. ergon grips. tubus fly luggage carrier. schwalbe marathon tires.
wonderfull on road and track.
