2001(?) XR800 Cyclocross Cannondale

I think that they were black only that one year. The first few years of CX bikes were only sold in one color - at least according to the catalogs. Interesting that the Headshok version is titled CX Ultra in the catalog but still has XS800 decals.

I bought this bike!
The sellers knew nothing about its history, but my guess it was only ridden a few times (the 105 decals/logos are pretty mint).
I cleaned and lubed it, flipped the stem and had to use a different cable hanger from my parts bin. There are rock chips on the bottom of the downtube but otherwise I’m happy with the condition, the sellers were firm on price despite my efforts to bargain. Unfortunately it is a 58 and is slightly too large for me, I would have liked to ride it myself but it could still be for sale.
