I'm piecing my bike it's coming along nicely.... any advice or comments welcomed

anyone else want to show how theyre build is coming along.. and what parts you have used let's share

Nice project. If 1988, that would have been SunTour Sprint originally. The black Dura Ace calipers are new to me, very nice. I may have some black Sprint derailleurs on the shelf.

Here's my 1987. It's somewhat original but I still need a few things. Previous owner had numerous things gold plated, including the fork. I'd like to find the original Nitto bar (have a 40 cm but would like a 42 or 44), Kingsberry or American Classic black seatpost, Cinelli Volare saddle, and the Sansin/Wolber wheels. Present wheels are very cool Bullseye/Mavic tubulars. I suppose I shouldn't worry about getting all the details correct, as the bike will never be completely original.

The gold fork is a nice touch.

Now I want a gold-plated fork too! That actually looks really sweet on that jet black frame.

Thanks. The gold stuff really doesn't show up very well in the washed out pic. For example, he also gold plated the spoke protector, quick releases, and most of the brake and shifter hardware.
