The end of an era started a long time ago. I'm honestly surprised the Conn office lasted this long in our world of consolidation to maximize efficiency. Does the move impact my impression of the brand? Not really but I am sad to hear of the impact on the community due to the closing. Jobs lost are jobs lost.

True, this is 20+ years in the making, isn't it? Dorel acquired Pacific Cycle (Schwinn, Mongoose, GT, Roadmaster) in 2004, C'dale and Sugoi in 2008, and Iron Horse in 2009. I didn't realize until I read in the above article that the Dutch (Pon Holdings) acquired Dorel Sports in 2022. I'm just glad the welds and tubesets on my 1999 T1000 are holding up!

I don’t follow corporate structures all that much, but I too am surprised there were offices in CT.

It didn't come as a surprise to me. While I am not a fan of the idea of the people working there losing their jobs, searching for new ones, and the terrible prospect of having to move to CA if they continue to work for the company.
