French 1987? Don't see a serial number...

Hi All,
I just picked this up. Originally thought it was around a 91 because of splatter and Sugino VP crank, but after looking through catalogs and not seeing a reference to the paint scheme, I think it is French. It also has Malliard hubs with 87 on them so that has led me that way as well...

I just looked back at the 87 catalog and I think it is a SR400, Team Comp. Was it just repainted?

Why French? Pretty sure it's been repainted with non-original decals. Build looks pretty consistent with a 1987 SR400. Not sure about the brake levers, Modolo perhaps? Serial number will establish year.
