New Cannondale owner, H300. Actually bought it for my wife, not me.

Bought it to replace my wifes Big Box store Schwinn she bought 6-7 years ago when we started riding again. I paid $200 for the H300 which is probably twice what it would have brought pre-Covid-19 bike shortage. If I read the serial number right it was manufactured in 1998. It's a very clean step through frame 21 speed and probably weighs 1/2 of what that Schwinn weighs.

The bike seems well made to me and fits her but I'm not really a serious bike guy. I still ride my old Raleigh Technium when we ride around the block, which is a 6 mile ride where we live. Any quirks I should look out for on the H300? Tires and tubes have already been replaced, there are a couple minor scratches but it seems to have spent most it's life so far hanging in someones garage.

I'd be surprised if you have any problems in the near future with an H300 that doesn't have many miles on it. Even though it was a lower end bike, the components should be pretty reliable. Make sure that the brakes are properly adjusted: pads contacting the rim on the brake track (not below and not the tire), and side to side adjustment centered.

I wouldn't feel bad about paying $200 for it if it's nice.
