Elevated stays----- The E Stay trend started in the mainstream by the Nishiki Alien. The design for that bike came from Richard Cunningham of Mantis and his Valkryie. At the same time Ken Beach at Gecko was making the very nice and still underappreciated Gecko Genesis. MBA helped birth the Yeti Ultimate through their Ultimate project ,also some other companies have used such a geometry but Cannondale never as I know.
General the fork does not gives the impression headshok although it seems to share a similar principle......
my personal opinion is that apart from the stickers that bikes do not have anything to do with Cannondale

how much is worth?it is certainly an interesting piece even if you are researching something about the real manufacturer.....
I'm pretty much tracking retro pieces but I've never seen anything like that
super rare Browning forks(example)

Looks kind of cool. But yeah...

It has xt components. Maybe it's worth a look just for that!

I've never seen a Cannondale with unfinished welds. Not sure about the fork, wondering about the Fox decal on the head tube. Surely worth what they're asking though if working condition is good.

Yeah they are asking 150$.

So you think it's just a random frame with Cannondale stickers?

I don't know what it is but am pretty sure it's not a Cannondale. I sent a message to a frame builder who might know. Will let you know if he has an idea who built it.

Defiantly not a Cannondale. But it is cool, I am interested to see what it is. I love EST-Bikes. I am more curious of the fork. I can not tell if it is a Headshox or not. The boot looks like a triagle, I can not tell...

The shape of the boot is what made me think that it's not a Headshok. I can't imagine stretching a round boot that much and not having it look all crumpled up. That boot looks like it was made wider side to side than it is front to back.

Well. I bought it. 120$.

It is really light.

The fork is not in great shape. But the rest of the bike is pretty decent!

It appears to be a Terry Grimes frame with an Action-Tec fork. Some info on the frame builder here:

What's wrong with the fork? I believe Action-Tec is still in business and has parts available.

The fork functions. The boot is torn. Seems kind of bouncy.

Surprised how light the whole bike is. Seems lighter than aluminum.

I've never used xt shifters connected to brakes before...

Any clue how many he made or it's value?

I don't know anything about the fork. Guessing the damper needs some work but I can't help.

I'd be interested to know what it weighs. I have a pretty contemporary Cannondale Headshok bike. I've never weighed it but it would be interesting to compare.

I'd be surprised if there were more than 100 of those frames out there. No idea on market value. I'd think you could easily triple what you paid if you can find someone with an interest in the builder.
