if you're in so much 'trouble', you probably just need another bike with a geometry that is fitting to your ability. you're on a good way to use a zero setback seat post, getting your body more in front and going over to a cockpit with shorter stem and smaller handlebar with less reach etc...

interesting – thanks! the owner has rebuild it with newer sram- & 3t-components. no campa stuff anymore. so the bike at all isn't original anymore. i knew some of the ironman triathlon bikes. but have never seen them in this saeco paint sceme.

found this interesting SAECO Timetrial on kleinanzeigen. anyone has some infos about it? never seen such a SAECO-timetrial frame before. the owner mentioned in that offer, that he hasn't found it on any of the old catalogs. CANNONDALE OPTIMO is the CAAD7 frameset, right? which year was it?

these vintage headshock-bikes are perfect to rebuild them to gravelbikes. with gravelbikes you ride trough an environment, where the headshock was made for :) have seen half a year ago an cad3 silkroad in bright shining orangeyellow with black decals... the price and contidion was perfect...

welcome! this black plastic disc on the back wheel... is it a 'thing' to keep the bikes original? were the cannondales delivered orginal with those discs? saw this on some roadbikes here also. all the bikes i owned, it was the first item to remove, if they had it :)

it's incredible what cannondale did at all... didn't knew they did wheelchairs too^^ couple of months ago i found even a 1:12 scale model of a multisport bike. and i was stoked when i figured out that they also did motorbikes. next time i may see chainsaws by cannondale... xD

that thing with the double tap i didn't knew. maybe it's similar as with windows vs linux...? xD after years with windows on first computers i'm since several years already on linux. it's also quite different to windows and it's usability feels also in some points not so intuitive like windows...

Since i've rebuild the CAAD5 some years ago i was always thinking about to change from SHIMANO's R3000-groupset over to SRAM. coz SRAM somehow fits in my opinion way better to the Cannondale roadbikes... with all it's other components by VISION & FSA from the US. shimano's R3000 groupset is...

and a cannondale systemsix with it's frame half of carbon/half aluminum^^ 2006 was the systemsix released, right?

these modern parts like the wing dropbars are quite nice on these old frames. 'enve' has with the 'jual' a similar one. in my opinion the caad9 is one of the nicest frames. i like on it how it's details were developed compared to the caad5. the flatened seatstays, the different top tube etc...
