It's possible that both the fork and the finish were mid year additions to the CAAD3 bikes. The lack of a model decal points to it being sold as a frameset, or possibly a warranty replacement.

I would say it's a 1999 model with possible mid year changes to the specs. Did the others you have seen have the same fork? Which head tube decal does it have? They changed between 1999 and 2000 models.

It's a lot of work to take good photos of everything. My Cannondales are on 3 levels of the house, the back porch, and at least 4 more buildings from 1-4 miles away.

Wondering if you could call around to bike co-ops and locate one. I know the one in downtown St. Louis takes a lot of donated bikes apart and sells them. That particular co-op sells a lot of stuff on ebay, but others don't.
