Been riding the bike since 1991 in my teens and still ride it regularly on my morning training sessions during the week, twice weekly. Its done some heavy km's and still no signs of it ever letting me down.
Kitted with 8spd Ultegra STI which replaced the 105's it came with when STI first came out. I changed the inner chainring 3 years ago for a smaller ring and the original bottle cages broke about 4yrs back, otherwise all original.

Another cheap find.. Original owner left it in the basement for many years, so it needed a little TLC.
Full rebuild serie 3.0 in hypergloss blue. Perfect Spinergy wheels and mix with Campy Veloce flatshifter and 10speed Shimano freewheel. Nitto seatpost, Kashimax track saddle, NOS Syncros stem, Campy Veloce brakes, Stella Azzurra Cabon crank (used) , Michelin tires ( clincher ) . Stripped frame and had it polished to make it look chrome plated and keep costs low.
Used most of the original parts a mix of 600 and dura ace with 13-26 8 speed, 53 and 38 stronglite aftermarket front chain ring to give a more hill friendly ratio.
I am into cannondales and I have 3 road bikes before getting my hands on this one. This is for my eroica california ride event. When I saw this from a local listing and it was my size, I bought it immediately. All the parts were original and shut except for the tire and pedal. I was lucky that after cleaning and tuning, everything was working. I am now in the hunt for the original 105 strap pedal and panaracer tires to build this to specs.
