Where did you ride your Cannondale today?

Very educating @kjop ! Thank you! Now if I can only remember that when looking at Cannondale bikes for sale…;)

Where did you ride your Cannondale today?

Gorgeous @kjop ! Thanks for sharing! I've been eyeballing a for sale ad lately. A 2004 R500. Nice ride?

    Iceland green M500

Ok I looked. Couldn’t resist. Iceland green metallic with Pepperoni fork is a 1995. On your bottom bracket you’ll have a two letter code for year/month. Yours would have “F” for 1994 with a later in the year month or a “G” for 1995 with an earlier in the year month. I have two bikes that the...

    Iceland green M500

The head post “badge” suggests 1990-1996. There is a great selection of catalog links on the home page to peruse and nail down the exact year. Value? Hard to say for sure in my opinion. Geographic location and popularity would influence value if selling local to you. I’ll take a broad guess...

    Cannondale suspension seatpost servicing?

I did a search and found…nothing. I only looked for ten minutes though. You could message the folks at cannondaleexperts.com they have some hard to find parts for older bikes. Another forum with a larger audience that may yield someone with knowledge is; bikeforums.net. If Cannondale had a...

    Jekyll 1000 Lefty in SFBAY

That looks nice. I wonder what size it is…… (must resist, I must)

Not 100% certain of the year.

Looks to be a darker blue than what the 94 catalog shows. The 94 catalog calls it navajo turqoise mettalic. It could just be the lighting in the photo. Some folks have all the luck. Looks nice.

Outside diameter. Wish I would’ve taken a picture. I’m surprised as well that there isn’t a worry about vandalism. Kids can be destructive when nobody is watching. As a youngin’ I probably would’ve hopped on in. But vandalize? Nope, wasn’t raised that way. The 10% number does seem low. But...

    Factory video: how it was

It would be neat to track that manager down. And get him to sign up here! He'd be busy answering a lot of stuff. What a great resource of knowledge that guy probably is. One of the comments down below the video made recently was...I dunno...sad to me. Something to the effect "Man, I miss...

    early mtb. No serial?

Could've been built late 86 for the 87 model year. Both my F3 and Prophet are that way.

    early mtb. No serial?

I know next to nothing. But I recall reading something about replacement or warranty frames lacking markings. Maybe that is it?

    Factory video: how it was

Had someone send me this video. A great look at how they were once made… Assemblying the Cannondale Bicycle

Where did you ride your Cannondale today?

Yes the wagon is unguarded. With just a sign that says keep off. It is within the campground, alongside the access road for the museum about 100 yards further. One of the automated recordings in the museum stated 1 in 10 travelers perished along the journey. As a mechanic I marveled at the...

    Grail Bike

I’ve been reading about the Trek saga this summer. Disheartening in my lowly opinion. The Klein story is fascinating. The one I picked up this summer is an ‘02, last year for Chehalis built bikes. Like Cannondale of “vintage” make, the welds were finished. My first trip into a Trek store this...

Where did you ride your Cannondale today?

Not paved. Just hard packed desert that varies in width. From the dual seen here (made by campground side by sides). To some single track. If all of it is ridden, maybe 3 miles. There is a hill that is a pretty good work out for my out of shapeness. I’m out of gear by the time I reach the top...

    One more for the stable?

I’ve seen some pretty neat photo edited pics online over the years. They’re getting better. Scary better. Or how ‘bout the old fashioned way; a gathering. Like at a campground somewhere in the US next summer? p.s. I might have a line on a XL Beast of the East. Stay tuned….
