Still riding that bike, that I bought in 1992. It's a November 1991 model with complete Shimano 600. Mavic rims, Cinelli stem and handlebar, Vetta SL seat. Very good handcraft, best finish. Paint great, even the color, it's night-blue. Rides fantastic, no fear when driving down a hill, very agil up the hills, smooth in the plain.

R700 upgraded with Ultegra brakes and a Specialized Alias saddle. Carried me through many great rides.
In my humble opinion, this is the best looking factory paint/graphics package of any Cannondale road bike. Purchased mine at Goodale's Bike Shop in Nashua, NH in 2002. I have changed the wheelset and saddle on it, but do have ALL of the original parts.
Number 281 of 300 limited edition Black Lightning made in 2002. I bought it in 2006 on ebay and found that it was in almost perfect condition. It has limited edition campagnolo record groupset and campagnolo neutron wheels with gold writing and black lightning decals on the wheels. I could only find one other of these on your site so I thought I better add mine. I first saw one of these in a bike shop in France when they were brand new but at £3000 I couldn't afford one. I was really pleased...
Apologies to the purists, this machine has been forced into the 21st century. I installed 105 shifters, rear derailleur and cassette, SRAM Apex crank, BB and front derailleur, Tange headset, Gipiemme Wheels and a Profile Design carbon fork.

A frame that was lying around at a bicycle parts supplier's depot in NOS condition. It has been equipped with a vintage Shimano 600 set, Gipiemme wheels, a Wound Up fork, Aerozine crankset and various other bits and pieces, without any attempt at being philologically correct but just to assemble a lightweight bicycle that will be pleasant to use and, why not, to look at.

I picked this bike up a month ago on craigslist. I got it from an older gentleman who had hip surgery soon after buying it and put it in his barn. It was 100% original per the 1991 Cannondale catalog...even down to the original Michelins! The bike was covered and it was literally like brand new. It still had the little rubber nub things on the tires. I put a battery in the Avocet 30 that came with it from the factory and voila! Still works perfectly. I made some changes of course, but have...
My current bicycle project is a beautiful 2002 Caad 5, Circle Cycle team bike in a 57cm pro-size. I purchased the frameset from the original owner, and learned that he raced the bike in the Masters Series for Circle Cycle bike shop. It was originally built up with full Dura Ace components, but I purchased it as a frame, fork and headset only. The fork is a Cannondale SI Slice, manufactured by Time and it features a carbon steerer tube. I hope to build this into a very nice every-day bike and...

Bought it on ebay and used it as a fun commuter bike. Nothing crazy with Ultegra parts. USA, USA, USA!
